RTA Voting Record for County Board Supervisors

2008 County Board Supervisor Candidates
(Taken from Dane County Supervisor web site)

The Election is April 1st.

Congratulations to these Dane County Supers who had primary run offs on Feb 19!

JP Heyn                District 1

Ted Krez               District 12

Ronn Ferrell        District 15 (defeated incumbent)

Kurt Schlicht *    District 28 (the top vote-getter)

Cynda Solberg     District 36

*Our apology to Kurt. He is a NO TRAINS guy and for rebuffing CARPC land grabbing. We were not aware of these facts. According to today's (2/20/08) WSJ, "he attributed his win to his opposition to a proposed commuter rail system and support for local control of zoning decisions"

Thanks to all who voted and/or helped out these fine candidates!

NOW is the time to get involved with the 4/1/election. All but Kurt had more votes for their Progressive or Dane Dems opponents than they received. They have a long way to go to achieve victories.

Don't forget there are several more “NO TRAINS” candidates who did not have a primary but are running for the April 1 election.

Not sure who's your supervisor?  Call them and ask... OR  click here  to find your County Board supervisor.

We won't tell you who to vote for, that's your job. Look at their voting record for many issues and then decide. We will tell you how they voted on the RTA and how the new candidates say they will vote on Trains/RTA and new taxes to pay for them.

Remember: candidates change their minds due to a lot of factors, including what their constituents say!

                *    =    Incumbent supervisor
"Trainiac"      = RTA, voted for it and/or are running as train/trolley supporter

"NOTRAIN"    = They are on voting record or have said they oppose trains for the
Madison area and the attendant RTA and Tax increase.

"Don't Know" = Call this candidate & ask their position on commuter trains/trolleys!
